Greetings from the Periphery

With some trepidation I have hit the post button and tentatively  re-entered the blogoverse. Was I missed!? I haven’t died or gone mad!

WordPress reminded me because if I wanted to keep my site plan settings I had to pay the required annual fee.

It’ was an incredibly rough time for me at the first of the year, dealing with family health and mental health issues – a long winter of discontent in which for a time I became almost as silent as snow. For some reason WordPress became a bit overwhelming and I didn’t realize how much time had gone by since my last post at Christmas. It will take a while to catch up in the social media scene and I may not be able to comment for awhile on posts until I get my rhythm back. I thank any who may have known a little about what was happening  for their prayers and good wishes. I hope everyone else is doing well and flowing along with the continuum as we hurtle through the starry ocean at 67000 miles an hour. I am not sure if that should be in knots but  I have tacked my sails to try to ride with the cosmic current!

Some little birds have built a nest over the door to the back porch and the daffodils are waving on the rise of our little hill along with the beginnings of the Camas lilies. I have been tiptoeing so as not to disturb our tiny tenants and yesterday chased off the neighbour’s cat.

I’ve very carefully read your introduction paragraph and feel so sorry about the issues that caused torment and anguish to your life.I,too, feel horrible when I am away from the WP-land and lose contact with my blog friends, but we should stop accounting and feel free to come and go at our own pace whatever the reason of our absence is.Fly free like your special visitors and sway to the rhyrthms of Zephyr like the beautiful Camas lilies on the hill.
Catching up is nightmerish,we forget to actually enjoy the things we are participating in.It took me ages to leave a reply to your pleasant comment on my Spring-Easter post … I signed off saying how embarrassed I feel …

Look on your friends’ comments, you and your brilliant posts were really missed.
Do you believe in the old saying “Tis absense, however, that makes the heart grow fonder … ” ?

Oh gosh,I’d better stop and focus on your magnificent photos with the majestic light effects that determine the tonalities and the golden glow;loved your Uncertainty one,it’s so real ❤ xxx

I wish for you all the best and hope things are now going better for you. I did miss you but as I have recently been absent in writing on my site (many personal things to deal with), I do understand that at times it is best to pull back for awhile. Good to hear from you and see again your wonderful photography. Be well.

That tide sweeps us all in some or the other form. Had been there myself so I understand. I hope whatever the situation or issues you were coping with are now evaporating into the thin air. I hope the spring showers you with newer better and brighter beginnings.
    Sending you hugs! 😀 ❤

I start again, a third attempt at responce. I shall try to simplify. The good in me warms to the good you express. Keep believing in daffodils, lilies, juncos at your door although the cat waits, watches. Such is life, rich and full of wonder.

It is Uncertainty that really takes my breath away! You also have a knack with titles that make me think more about, and see more in each image. I was going to write “in each photo” but these are much more like paintings to me.

    See you again soon!

So good to see you back, Cybele! I’m saddened to hear of the difficulties, but glad to see you hoping to re-establish your rhythm. (I can relate to the feeling of being derailed, where the blog ends up having to wait.)
These photos are incredibly moving — just stunning!

Cybele, its extremely good to hear from you again, though I feel much sorrow at your tidings. I have been on the edge of mental illness myself, in the past. For now, well take good care of yourself and remember that, for all of us out here on the blogs, there is no urgency, we are not going anywhere. Be with us as and when it feels good for you to do so. I send you my very best wishes for the future. Adrian 🙂

    1. Many thanks Adrian. It was a rough beginning to the year and just could not keep up with all social media! I tried so as not to completely fall apart. But yes, learning to lie back and not push myself is an ongoing exercise!!

  17. Good luck and hopefully things are looking better now. I’ve also been in a kind of hiatus lately. Don’t worry about catching up on stuff: just blog whenever you feel like it. I’ve stopped catching up when I’ve been AFK – it’s just an impossible task to keep up with everything.

I did not know of your emotional and mental challenges recently, I am always someone who looks for your posts and enjoys stepping into your creative world when ever you are ready to hit “post”. I know that feeling, trying to be as quiet as the snow…so as not to disturb myself. It is a tense experience made ever more challenging by the voice in my head getting louder with each passing day.
You photos are haunting as usual, be gentle with yourself and I welcome you back…on your own time.

Glad you’re stepping back in . . . but don’t put pressure on yourself. Blogging can feel like an obligation sometimes, but it shouldn’t. It’s meant to be an escape and if not used as such, a break is in order.

  30. Of course you were missed! I’m very happy to see you back but I’m awfully sorry to hear that you’ve been struggling with various issues. I pray that all is now on the mend and you’re moving forward. Don’t worry about catching up. Just begin right where you are at your own pace. Since I venture to say that, like me, you don’t blog for a living, there’s nothing wrong in taking your time and not rushing. This is fun stuff so don’t put any undue pressure on yourself. Well, I’ve said more than enough. You get my drift. In a nutshell, welcome back, I love your photos as always, and look forward to many more in the future. Hugs and happy weekend wishes, dear friend! 😀 ❤

  31. Welcome back Cybele, its good to hear you can see the sun through the mist that lies over the dark waters of the lough. I like to share a song from an Irish artist. His name is Foy Vance. It always reminds me we all need the love from family and friends in life.

    Enjoy your weekend.
