Winter Monochrome Madness 3-42
Here we are again and I am in time and still struggling to keep up. I missed posting MM last week. On February 3rd I was the guest storyteller/photographer on Sue Vincent’s great literary blog, Daily Echo, which was a lovely honour and pleasure.
Here is my submission to Leanne’s wonderful
Monochrome Madness Challenge
Last week was so mild and sunny I thought I saw the Goddess Flora slipping through the shadowy trees.
and in colour

And then- Good Grief!

Don’t worry, it won’t stick

Bloody Winter Again

After the initial shock, it’s getting better

and now

How lovely. And, real winter weather; so much more interesting than grey and bleh that we have.

I very much enjoyed it. Sorry it’s not happening more often at the moment… Not sure where I’m spending/losing my time.

The views through your windows are to die for, Cybele…so beautifully peaceful. I love what you’ve done to your woodland photos: a perfect fairy wonderland, complete with the cute species of fauna and, perhaps, a resident goddess. A magical post!

Looking through you window is like entering a fairyland, Hannah, this is pure magic. We need to dream to get creative and stepping into your woodland is highly inspiring, thank you so much.
Best regards from land of the Trolls,
Hanne x

That is such a beautiful thing to say! I have always loved Viking myth and story and now even more so that I find I have Scandinavian dna mixed in with the Scots and Irish!! 😀 Your blog is simply beautiful in both word and images! Thank you for your follow!

You make the snow look magical – which it is I suppose. I had to admire its beauty as it was coming down even though I was cursing it at the same time – and applauding the torrential rains which today have finally released my vehicle from its back alley bondage. Love the frog and your the snowy view from your bedroom window!

I really thought Winter was coming to an end but we had an unusual storm come through that left snow everywhere…some places more than where I live but it did stick and is only finally gone today. I do believe I will dance when the sun shows its’ face and gives me warmth. 🙂

I agree with Nurul that I wish I had your window. That picture of the frog is very funny. Your robins look different to our ones in the UK, if that is a robin in the photo.
Thanks for mentioning my tanka post and for providing me with such wonderful picture prompts. I really enjoyed sitting there for ages, reflecting upon those images until the words magicked themselves into my head 🙂

Beautiful pictures, Cybele, and I also love the frogs! Always thought they were quite magical creatures because they bridge the gap between water and land.
