I’m reeling after all the hype of the American Elections and I wish our American neighbours well. We all live in challenging times for sure.
“In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness. Our life is a long and arduous quest after Truth.” Mahatma Ghandi
Here is my contribution to Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness this week (3-30) Fields of wild lupin below Rosslyn Chapel;
Contemplation in Sepia
(I’ve been playing with filters and textures, even trying to make my own.)
the coloured version
What will our legacy be?
“If we are to achieve peace in this world we must begin with the children”– Ghandi
Two textures by Anna Lenabem
and a great old song
Peace Train by Cat Stevens ( aka Yusuf Islam)
That first image is fabulous – open ended for the viewer to interpret. Just like life.
Hopefully all the emotional fenzy and hype will settle down.

They all a beautiful, Moon. But the colured one looks so tempting to eyes and gives an illusion of a painting. A wonderful post with a positive message. 🙂
Take care dear friend. 😀

What beautiful images! I like both versions — very strong as both a monochromatic image, and I love the gorgeous, saturated version as well. And thank you for your thoughts post-election. Comforting at a difficult time.

I love both of those versions of the wild lupins picture, Cybele. They suit different moods, appealing to the two sides of self!
Ah, Cat Stevens who goes under a very different name these days. I wonder what a certain president would think of him! I’ll say no more, other than that I remember him from my teens and my parents taking me to see him in concert as a treat.

indeed Sarah ( regarding Cat Stevens). As the Chinese say “May we live in interesting times!” A tad scary too. Thank you for your visit. I am falling behind in everything. Your book is fabulous and hold the interest completely!!

Thank you, Cybele. That’s wonderful to hear 🙂 I’m feeling a little negative just now about the whole book thing, so you’ve just cheered me up. It’s all a bit of a struggle as marketing still makes me feel uneasy, so I stay far too quiet on that front!

it must be so nerve wracking. I am behind but will try to write a review in the next while.

Thanks 🙂 I know all about being behind. It seems a constant state and a symptom of the modern world! Maybe it’s all in the mind, because we set ourselves unrealistic targets for each day.

mmmmmm what a mood you’ve created. I especially like the first one in monochrome with the church on the hill and the one with the blond child in the upper right of the group. Nice going! You’ve been studying your technique. Good song for the mood.

Our president can do little without Congress approving the money. That is where the power lies, the other is only perception of power. Love that orange filter, Hannah. 🙂
