Now is the time to unite the soul and the world. Now is the time to see the sunlight dancing as one with the shadows. ~Rumi
Here is the sun at last on the island! Of course I still have much to do in preparation for the move next month, and I’m perpetually behind, but in homage to the late afternoon here is
my offering to Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness 3-15
and my lovely deck terrace. The evening light was amazing the other night. The geraniums sang electrified
I remember the old Kirkyard in Fort William as the sun went down and shadow ghosts crept backward from the stones
Rejoice in the Sun- Joan Baez
“gather your children to your side, in the sun”
The light on those top three is gorgeous!

🙂 I had posts backed up from JUNE! I am finally all caught up. PHEW.
I just know the next week-end I head out on a photography adventure I’ll be right back where I was-behind again. 🙂

Hi Hannah! I was looking for your Monochrome Madness post for MM3-20, but instead found this lovely post that I missed somehow. I guess you are still pretty busy with moving. Hope it is going well.

I hope you love it there, Hannah. My husband and I are going to Seattle tomorrow to visit a friend for the weekend. That’s closer to you, but still too far. Maybe next time we’ll get farther north 😊.

I love that — “the geraniums sang electrified” 🙂 That’s just what my geraniums and begonias do in certain lights, but I hadn’t found a way to describe the phenomena until now. And, yes, we should look after and treasure our “one” world. Too many people take for granted that it will always be there, whatever abuse they inflict upon it.

“Now is the time to unite the soul and the world.”
I have been thinking this world of ours truly needs some healing. It is ever in crisis. And the leaders we have, or yet to have, seem clueless. What will become of us?
Anyway, thanks for the quote. Why do people like Rumi have to die? He saw deep, and he saw the best.

I always find my iPad annoying when trying to comment on photo blogs as I cannot write and see the images simultaneously. I enjoyed all the photos, Hanna, but the churchyard with those fabulous greens stood out for me. I also loved the final sunset image. Such divine rich colours!
