I forgot last week but here we are again! Leanne’ Cole’s weekly and wonderful Monochrome Madness Gallery…

and my obsession with the old farmhouse in my neighbourhood continues

“She often thought she heard a long sigh flowing by the farm. She didn’t recognize the exhale of time and so, the old house watched and waited as she always had…..” The history of the old farm in story form is here

Hauntingly stunning.

Love your beautiful photos, as always! That story must have been before I started following. Sad references. Murder is always shocking. Having any luck house hunting or is it back burnered for now like ours seems to be?

It’ll take me some time to come back to reality after reading your story and I think those photos are not of great help.I’m still walking on the mysterious paths of the Orkney’s folklore legends where myths and tradition are still alive. What’s up again Cybele dear? Are you going to travel me to other legendary places on earth?Just one click on “here” and the history of the old farm will unfold through the magical lines of your story … I’m posting my comment now, catch my breath and will be back to be “captivated” again …

I think we both must travel back there physically soon! In the meantime we allow our souls to wander in those enchanted places!

Oh my! These are lovely, Cybele. That sky in your MMC entry surprised me 🙂 I love your vision and ability to stretch shadows and light in a way that tells a delicate, intricate story. Thank you for all you share.

Oh a move, always daunting and filled with so much effort. You are a gifted story-teller, Cybele. I know the words will wait for you!
Yes, hard to keep up sometimes! But, in your case, always worth the effort. Have a beautiful day.

“Picnic Apocalypse” has come up really well after post processing. Something tells me that the real photo or place would be a warm place rather than the darkness with which it is portrayed. However, I still love the darkness it brings. 🙂

it is very shadowy as it is surrounded by very tall trees but yes brighter of course. Infrared really brings out the shadows. thank you Norma!
