I hope you all had an Irish wonderful day as I did listening to music at our local Irish pub. Here are some Irish quotes from great Irish minds to cheer you!

“Many people die of thirst but the Irish are born with one.”– Spike Milligan

“Being Irish he had an abiding sense of tragedy that sustained him during periods of temporary joy” William Butler Yeats

“There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.” Oscar Wilde

“When I look back on my childhood I wonder how I survived at all. It was, of course, a miserable childhood: the happy childhood is hardly worth your while.” Frank McCourt

May those who love us love us.
And those that don’t love us,
May God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn’t turn their hearts,
May he turn their ankles,
So we’ll know them by their limping.

What wonderful quotes! Happy St. P’s Day to you as well. Here, people have been celebrating for days–even though I suspect only 1/10th of them are truly Irish. I’m 50%–born into a family of Cooney’s and Mollahan’s! The other half is Italian–as you know. 🙂
