A Conflagration of colour!
As he headed off down that autumn path to school I thought:
“Set your life on fire. Seek those who fan your flames” – Rumi
I used a painterly filter (Topaz Impression) on the top image which turned it into an autumn conflagration and adjusted the colour balance on the second one to give it more warmth. I don’t always remember exactly what I did but this was a fairly simple edit. I wanted to catch the glory before it is all gone.

Those colors are just gorgeous! Most of my life I’ve lived in the desert, and now I live amongst mostly pine trees – neither place puts on such a brilliant autumn show, so photos like this mesmerize me.
