Tell me of the atonement of the pristine alabaster rose. What does it mean?
Otherwise much appreciated. Thanks for the share.

    1. Hi Peter!! You know I’m not sure!! I was thinking of the alabaster statues I’ve seen of the Virgin Mary who I believe is often associated with sorrow and one where she had a rose on her foot. Alabaster also makes me think of old sepulchers and as I thought the rose looked alabaster the word just sprang to mind!! My mind works in strange ways and associations. lol. So after the sorrow of King Midas ( of the old Greek tale) whose touch turned everything including his daughter into gold I presented the alabaster rose. I should have written a poem or story probably to explain.

I like those associations. My mind does the same. Linking concepts. Analyzing. Seeking to understand.

It’s heaven for our senses, dear Cybele!A real wonder your golden rose, you touched it better than Midas!Magical golden nuances on its petals and soft lighting caressing them!Suddenly,Cybele became a carver and turned it into a fine alabaster rose with soul … Thoughts while listening to the sweet melodies of another virtuoso in music 🙂

Those are beautiful! I get a little sad when the blooms disappear. Here, I’m noticing the wildflowers turning brown with the cooler temps.
