Another week of Leanne’ Cole’s wonderful Monochrome challenge. Treat yourself to her Monochrome Madness page for all the submissions.
I hope everyone is enjoying summer up in the northern regions and winter in the land down under! I’ve loved seeing all the images.
I leave on the weekend for our trip!! I have not scheduled anything but hopefully might have a chance to post a few from my laptop and say hello while traveling. In the meantime if I catch something brilliant I will share but if not, don’t worry, I’m still here but it’s too late to say keep calm, panic mode has already set in!
I have not been out much the last few days so this is the monochrome version of a coloured photo I took a while back of Hatley Castle portico in the late afternoon.
Two beautiful shots. Have a great trip. Look forward to seeing your take on the places you visit.

Cybele, enjoy your trip! This is a wonderful post. The images are excellent – the one in the meadow really blows me away and is the sort I thing I would like to do – but do I have the skills??? And Strawberry Fields – well you’re talking to an out and out Beatles fan here, so what more can I say – except that I feel sad to hear John, and wonder what he might have gone on to had he had the chance. That portico is gorgeous! Love your vintage development of it.
Have a marvelous trip, and get home safely!
Oh, I don’t think I ever answered your question about where I’m headed at the end of Aug. We’re cruising for He-Man’s birthday. He loves cruising! We’re sailing to the Eastern Caribbean. I hope to see some different birds than I see here.
I’m looking forward to the arm-chair tour of your trip. Be safe! xx

Gosh these are good. The one of the castle looks so dreamy – like an illustration from an old book of fairytales. Have a wonderful holiday. 🙂

You’re getting beautiful effects Cybele! I finally joined the Adobe Cloud after 3-4 years. Still hooked on Bridge and PS though, because LR makes me feel as it were another program, and I’m a one-program person.
