One Four Challenge for July

I am a few days late in beginning Robyn Gosby’s wonderful One Four Challenge of processing a photograph four different ways in four weeks.

I just returned from a trip and am now gearing up for a big one in August again. I am always early or late, seldom on time and never a good schedule keeper (unlike my daughter!)

Last night I dreamed I was a butterfly, today I do not know If I am a man dreaming I am a butterfly or if I am a butterfly dreaming I am a man?–  Zhuang Zhu- Philosopher

butterflyemlight
week one- Butterfly Dream

“You are not a human being in search of a spiritual experience. You are a spiritual being immersed in a human experience.”-— Teilhard de Chardin  (French Geologist, Priest, Philosopher and Mystic, 1881-1955)

I love how it looked as though the day lily was reaching up to embrace the butterfly!

I used a light filter, and a painterly impression from Topaz and layered it till I got the effect I wanted.

I like the darker tone, would like to have seen a bit more light or detail on the butterfly tho, it’s lost a lot of the lovely wing patterning

    1. because his wing was enveloped by the flower I knew that some detail would not be present in all of them so I just went with the overall effect!

Hope you enjoyed your trip.. Hope you enjoy the next one too.
I think I’m often late these days.. Too many things that need to be done, so time out is a real pleasure 😃
