The Daily post challenge – Blur
I chose soft blurs some of which were already in my collection. Though I entered this challenge a bit late I love dreamy images and I think the blurs help!

(Lady in the Water)
Spencer Dance Company ( 12-14 year olds)

Nice shot

I am usually weary of blurred photos, for some reason (might be the fact that I’m slightly *cough* short-sighted!). However, you have managed to use that effect in a very effective way! Good job!

Very interesting post, Cybele. How ironic that tack-sharp images are constantly lauded as the industry standard for photography when a little creative bokeh is what many people react positively to. Yes, there usually needs to be a sweet spot of focus to serve as a visual anchor; but that dreamy quality blur gives can truly transport the viewer. And it can even help draw attention to your subject in a way similar to vignetting.
