Materful work in mono Cybele!A striking mosaic of great b/w photos intriguingly created and with perfect use of light.I particularly like your portaiture work in the bottom left corner and the classic photo of the Dugald Stewart Monument.I’ve included it in one of my Scotland posts. When I am under it I always wonder If I am in Athens under the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates near the Acropolis or in Edinburgh on the Calton Hill 🙂

Beautiful pictures Cybele, I love to see your mystical images, you have such a distinctive style. My favourites are the pictures of the trees in the woods with their amazing use of light to create such beautiful atmosphere. 🙂

Your photos are unique. That’s why I am drawn to them. I love what to do with the shades. I love the atmosphere. The ghostliness. The mystery. The emotions and the spectral depths achieved. Monochrome Madness isn’t really madness. It is ingenious.

    Like

    1. What a great comment Peter- and you are right about Monochrome Madness!! lol. It does give you a chance to bring out a mood that colour sometimes does not. The mood goes straight through the eye into that place of emotion in the brain whereas colour must be filtered through as the eye works through the spectrum- or some such nonsense that I just thought up lol!! Thanks Peter for all your support!!

a wonderful collection, Cybele. I guess, you definitely picked the best of your photos for you #1 (followed by “the ghosts of Kadish Tolesa”). Ireally like the ‘dreamy’ look in your photos. How about, writing a how-to?

    1. What a great comment Solaner!! A How to? I should try and will try but so much of what I do still is hit and miss. 😀 Sometimes the magic works!!
