many of your commenters say things about “relaxing” and such. actually: the two photos would NOT make me relax — they invoke an apprehension, wake me more than i was previously, waiting for something unsettling to happen.
and i mean this in a “good way”!

I particularly like the first image. The highlights off the grass are very appealing and overall the image is nicely composed. My eye can’t decide where to rest in the second image.

I’ve never seen pampas look so atmospheric Cybele! That gate is magical, I’m sure it leads to an amazing twilight world where anything could happen…

They’re both stunning, but the Garden Gate gets my nod. I just love the whole feel of that picture. It relaxes me just to look at it.

thanks Suzanne!!! I think I am a bit old fashioned in my stories but the reader’s responses have been overwhelming esp to Canticle for Meg post and my tuatha tales!! Anyway I will keep working on it!!

I don’t think it matters whether you are old fashioned. In fact it could well be a good thing. To many modern stories don’t make a great deal of sense. Many people (myself included) still enjoy a tale that has a beginning, middle and an end.
Writing is hard work though and takes bulk time. I find the first 30,000 words can flow readily enough but drawing all the threads together and working towards a satisfactory conclusion takes lots of time and effort.

Suzanne, I am good with the poetry of little bites into the story world. I doubt I could do a book!! But yes, I hear you about some of the modern stories. Imaginative and bizarre!! If I ever put my tales of the tuatha together it would need huge revising!! 30,000 words ouch. I don’t know if I can do that even in a stream of consciousness lol!! But I look forward to reading your story!!
