Joy to the world, BC has a mighty fine wine!!

In Saanich and Sooke there are beautiful properties on the waterfront with roads, gates and doorways of all sizes leading to everywhere.
In Victoria proper, once the scene of Victorian age opium dens and a dreadful murder, Fan Tan Alley in old China Town is now full of “funky” and new age shops.
I love your monochromes, so atmospheric and very fitting to the hint of dastardly history of opium dens and murder…

thank you Andrea! Yes Chinatown in Victoria is very old as the Chinese were hired to build the railroads on the island and treated very badly I might add!! But there are some wonderful stories in Chinatown!!

British Columbia is beautiful, and yet I have not discovered the wines. These photos, like your others, are fantastically mystical.

Thanks Em!! The wines are beginning to come into their own- especially those from the interior of the province where it has drier summmers.

Thanks so much Robert. Coming from you!!! 🙂 It’s only the Nikon coolpix and I can’t do in RAW on that but I still get some interesting ones. A little tweak in PSCS6 and yes! The sorcerer’s apprentice is improving!! Thanks for that wonderful post on post process IR and for your inspiration!!

Oh thank you Laura!! There were only a few but we do have some beautiful scenery here in the rain forests. I’m still playing with monochrome. The city itself is quaint and not so dramatic as big cities. I love your latest for MM. Very Zen!!
