Cee’s Fun Photo Challenge- Water
Thank you Cee – a wonderful subject
We have plenty of this on and surrounding my beautiful island (Vancouver Island). Water presents in many forms from dew drops to rain drops, to streams and vast oceans, it’s essence changeable, into ice , mist, steam and liquid. Water drips, flows, splashes, laps, diffuses, vapourizes. The best place for dreaming is beside water, on a beach or by a stream. We would not exist without water. Our cells contain water. Spiritual grace is symbolized by water!
It’s a cold swim in the waters of the Pacific North West but at the same time, salt water emits negative ions which supposedly neutralizes all the stressful energies so, as the good weather approaches, grab a picnic basket and head out to the beach. And as Bruce Lee said , “Be like water!”
( So many!! – I had to finally plug the dam and stop the flow. A few of these photos though recent, are reposts.)
Lovely work there Cybele, I like the black and white one with the ducks best

These are beautiful photos. I disagree with Cardinal Guzman that there is no evidence that salt water emits negative ions. Whether or not it can be proven scientifically (which I think it can) the fact remains that most people are calmed by a visit to the sea.

yes indeed Suzanne!! I feel the same way. Others may feel differently (vive la difference). Perhaps I’m wrong about the ions- I just added that as a point of poetic interest.
However it comes about in our own minds, things do work in mysterious and wonderful ways including scientifically. I love science and the facts but I confess I love the mystery more!!

Great gallery, but I’m sure you won’t be able to find any serious research to back up the claim that “salt water emits negative ions which supposedly neutralizes all the stressful energies”.

heaven forbid I start a controversy lol!! Holisitic healing claims this through evaporation from what I know, – however, far be it from me to refute science. I love science. However, as in my stories I have a tendency toward the fantastical and things unseen!! So I take it you don’t believe in fairies!!!! 🙂 I will still love to sit and relax by the ocean and ponder it’s mysteries!! Thanks for visiting Cardinal and I don’t mind people speaking their mind!!! Glad you liked the photos!

Hehe, that’s correct: no fairies, no holistic BS, no God BS, no heaven, no hell. No afterlife, no rebirths or life after death, none of that sh– 🙂
